Get everyone out of the affected part of the building and stay outside if the structure looks compromised. If any wires are involved, call 911 and the utility before anyone goes near — assume every downed line is live. Then call us. If it is safe to do so from a distance, take photos for your insurer; we will add our own documentation when we arrive.

For an active emergency in the Buffalo area we aim to be on site within a few hours, and often sooner. During a region-wide storm every tree company is triaging at once, so we prioritise trees on occupied structures and blocked emergency access first. When you call we will give you a realistic window rather than an optimistic one.

Usually, when a tree strikes a covered structure — most policies cover the damage and the removal of the tree from the building, subject to your deductible. A tree that simply blows over in the yard without hitting anything is often not covered. We are not your adjuster, but we provide the photos, written scope and itemised invoice that claims require, and we work alongside adjusters constantly.

Please do not. Storm-damaged wood is under tension and stores enormous energy — a limb that appears to be resting can spring, roll or drop the instant it is cut, and chainsaw injuries spike after every storm. It is also the most common way people turn a covered insurance claim into an uncovered one. Let an insured crew make it safe.

Emergency call-outs are priced differently from scheduled work, which reflects the crew, the hours and the conditions. You will be told the rate when you call — nothing is added to the invoice afterward as a surprise.
